What Do You Want It To Do?

Until it is cut, tetted and rolled, hay is just
grass that needs mowing.
Websites can be like
that. Unless they are
purpose driven, their
ubiquitous nature can easily let them become
nothing more than eye
candy.
Websites can actually follow models such as "Maslow's
heirarchy of needs." Maslow's needs, beyond basic
deficiencies, were:
1. Physiological
2. Safety
3. Love/Belonging
4. Esteem
5. Actualization
One has difficulty moving to the next level until
the primary needs are satisfied.
Your website should use a similar idea.
1). A locatable presence.
2). Confidence that it
will not embarrass you.
3). Joy at the way it
communicates those things that really matter to you.
4). Pride that you did
not settle for something mediocre.
5). An on-going circle
of web awareness, renewal and development.
